Brigandine Plate
Brigandine Plate by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The image shows an old, rusty brown metal plate with a distinctive shape. The plate is wider at the top and bottom and narrow in the middle. It has a wavy edge and several small rivets around its perimeter with a flower-petal design. There are 19 rivets on the top half and 20 on the bottom half with 2 larger holes. The rivets appear to be made of a slightly lighter-colored metal than the plate. The surface of the plate is rough and rusted.
