Cleveland Museum of Art

The image depicts a page from an illustrated manuscript. The page is off-white with a black border. In the center, there is a large rectangular section containing black text written in a foreign language, possibly Arabic, divided into eight columns separated by thin orange lines. The text is surrounded by a thin blue border and a thicker orange border. Below the text, there is an illustration depicting a scene with several people and horses. The illustration is bordered by a thin blue line and a thicker orange line. At the bottom of the illustration, there are several small rectangles containing more black text. The illustration shows a group of men on horseback and one man lying on the ground. The men are wearing various colored clothing and headgear, including blue turbans and helmets. Some of the horses are white, one is black. The overall design of the page suggests that it is a page from a medieval manuscript, possibly a copy of the Shahnama.
