Andiron

John Bailey

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two metal andiron objects, symmetrical and identical. The tops are silver-colored metal, shaped like upside-down acorns with rounded tips and ridged sections below. The top sections are attached to short, thick, square columns. The base of each object is made of black metal, with one curved piece on the back and one on the front, connected by three legs with ball-shaped feet. The background is a plain light gray color. The title of the image is "Andiron by John Bailey".
