Andiron

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a pair of andirons by artist unknown, titled "Andiron". Two silver metal andirons with black metal supports are visible, standing upright on a flat surface. The andirons have a fluted column design and are topped with a decorative finial resembling a flame or a bulb. Each andiron has a square base with four curved legs ending in ball feet. A black metal support, curved at the top, extends from the base of each andiron, forming an "L" shape that opens towards the front. The background is a plain gray wall and floor.
